About Wedding Dress Dry Cleaning

Drop off is super simple. When you arrive at the boutique we'll inspect the gown together and mark any areas of concern for treatment or repair. Your dress will then go through a gentle and environmentally safe dry cleaning process using professional techniques designed for delicate bridal fabrics.

If you are also preserving your dress, your gown will be fitted onto an acid-free bust form and packed into a preservation chest with a 100 year anti-yellowing guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have more questions or would like to chat, feel free to give us a call at 619-501-1700.

How much is wedding dress dry cleaning?

Dry cleaning is $500. This includes stain treatment, gentle cleaning, and a hand-pressed finish. For an additional $50 your dress can be preserved and placed in a preservation chest.

When should I bring my dress in?

We recommend bringing your gown in as soon as possible after your wedding. Acting quickly helps prevent stains from setting into the fabric.

What stains can you remove?

We can remove most stains, including common marks from makeup, mud, grass, perspiration, food, and more. Spilled red wine on your dress? It's surprisingly common and can be removed from most fabrics!

How exactly is my gown cleaned?

Each dress is individually evaluated and treated with the safest and most effective cleaning method for its fabric.

If you choose to have your dress preserved, your gown is fitted on an acid-free bust form and carefully placed in a preservation chest designed to protect it for decades.

How long until my dress is ready?

Most gowns are available for pick up within 1-2 weeks. Preservation takes a bit longer, about 6-10 weeks.

What if my dress has a hole or tear?

Our alterations team can perform any needed gown repairs for an additional fee. When you drop off the dress we can evaluate any damage and provide you with a quote.

Preservation Questions

Is dry cleaning different than preservation?

Dry cleaning focuses on carefully removing stains, refreshing fabrics, and returning your gown in pristine condition. Preservation goes a step further by placing the cleaned dress on an acid-free bust form and into a preservation chest designed to protect it from yellowing and damage over decades.

We recommend dry cleaning for brides who plan to wear their dress again within a year, or for those who wish to sell their dress. For brides who wish to keep their gown as a long-term heirloom, we recommend preservation.

Can I preserve my dress after dry cleaning?

Wedding dress preservation must be performed during the dry cleaning process. When you drop off your dress, you must decide if you want dry cleaning only, or dry cleaning with preservation.

What else can I include in the preservation chest?

You’re welcome to include additional items such as your veil, headpiece, gloves, sleeves, handkerchief, slip, money bag, or garter. Shoes and overskirts may be added for an extra fee.

How long does wedding dress preservation last?

With proper care and storage, your preserved gown can remain in beautiful condition for up to 100 years. Many brides choose preservation so they can pass their dress on to future generations.

What is the One Hundred Year Guarantee?

We guarantee your gown will remain free from yellowing for 100 years. If discoloration does occur, we’ll reprocess your gown at no cost, or provide a refund if it cannot be restored.
