I am excited to announce that The White Flower Bridal Boutique is searching for its next Owner.  The time has come to pass the lead roll to a new entrepreneur who desires the honor of operating this amazing Boutique and being a part of its beautiful legacy.

When I launched this boutique over 10 years ago I never imagined all the amazing and wonderful lessons it would teach me.  It has been the best time of my life working in this boutique. All the brides have been an absolute joy to celebrate as well as getting to know many of my employees very deeply. I feel that this boutique has cultivated me in many ways, personally as well as in the business world.  I am forever grateful for all the experiences and opportunities it has provided my family and I with.  It is my passion, my love, and my joy!

Most of you don’t know that my family and I have been living happily on Maui since 2017 and have succussfully launched our latest entrepreneurial concept, Maui Wedding Gown Pressing.  Three years before that, I took a huge step back when my son Jagger was born in order to enjoy his childhood.  Surprise! I have been at an arms length from the Boutique for almost 5 years and it still runs like a charm.  That is how you know you have created a spectacular business with amazingly talented staff.  The ladies at The White Flower are the reason why it works beautifully and operates so well.

By being totally transparent in this sale, we can control the content getting into the marketplace.  The competition will not be able to scare our brides, they will not be able to steal our designer labels, and most importantly my staff will not be blindsided. Everyone is on the same page and continuing business as normal until we find the perfect person.  So rest assured, nothing is changing when it comes to your amazing experiences, customer service, gown process etc.  It only gets better from here.  

A Business Sale is a tricky process.  Traditionally very “hush hush” and advisable to keep it a secret from your Staff, Vendors, Customers and the Public.   As my Staff has found out, I always do things differently.  This is why I have decided to make this Business Sale public to you with confidence that our amazingly supportive fans will help find the right person. 

We will keep working and searching as long as it takes to find the right Owner for the Boutique.  If it takes 3 months, 6 months, a year + so be it.  The Staff and myself are highly dedicated to find the right person and conduct business as it has been for the last handful of years.

Business Strategy

This Business Sale has been in the works for years at this point.  The first step was to test run “in house” alterations.  We didn’t have space at our first location of Park Laurel so we launched into a new lease and pushed full steam ahead.  What an amazing surprise that endeavor was.  It was a home run that made me feel very confident to start phase two.

Phase two was to extract the Boutique from Park Laurel and

to find a place that had more space but was also more affordable.  The numbers needed to pencil out if I was to pass the Boutique to the next Owner. 
 I am so thrilled how the transition has gone to the new space on Hawthorne.  Although the build out was way more than financially anticipated for, it turned out amazing and perfectly Insta worthy. Thanks to the teamwork of all the Staff, the new Boutique is perfect.  I couldn’t be more excited with how it is Designed and we now save over $100,000 per year on overhead alone from our previous location.  

Phase three was to let it run for a year to make sure that my projections were accurate for the year-end financials.  Although we had some struggle getting used to our new environment, the financial projections were correct and the business would be sustainable and profitable moving forward even if i were to run it from afar.  The amazing part is if an Owner were actually on site, it would do even better.  So there you are! Courtney’s Favorite Owner Perks

Owning a business can be challenging and time consuming. However, it also lends itself to incredible opportunities and life experiences.  Here are some of the perks that I absolutely love.  

·       Decide your work schedule.

·       Take vacation time, a sick day, and time off whenever you want. 

·       Write off purchases, cell phone bills, car expenses, health insurance, clothing, travel, etc.  

·       Choose the people you work with.  

·       Make more money than working for someone. 

·       Control decisions on almost everything. 

·       Drink champagne at work.  

·       Give sales incentives and gifts for amazing Sales Team performance.

·       Be wined and dined by Designers and their Sales Reps.

·       Take the Sales Staff on annual retreats to Cabo, Vegas, New Orleans, Hawaii etc. 

·       Travel internationally for Fashion Shows.

·       Travel to New York for Bridal Fashion Weeks and be invited to some of the best industry parties.  

·       Have a creative outlet to design & decorate the Boutique for events and parties. 

·       Dress up and look glamourous every day or dress down and work in the back office. It’s your choice!
